ABOUT FUND SCHOOLS FIRST

Fund Schools First is a collaborative initiative of urban, suburban, and rural school districts, the business community, and other organizations across Texas with support from the North Texas Commission. This initiative is designed to provide consistent and accurate information regarding school funding and the impact of inflation to lawmakers, business leaders, and the community at large.

More than 5.5 million Texas students attend public schools. Successfully preparing these students for their futures in college, careers, or the military is vital to the success of the Texas economy, the 8th largest in the world. We are committed to working collaboratively with state lawmakers to continue their tradition of providing tremendous and transformative support of public schools to deliver on the promise of House Bill 3: improved student outcomes and brighter futures for our students.
